The Experience

If the classic alley walk is a party, the macabre version is a party with a chill: the alleys of Guanajuato become the stage and sinister characters appear halfway through the walk. Only during Day of the Dead season, departing at night from the Historic Center.

About the Event

For Day of the Dead the alley walk turns macabre: costumed actors, La Llorona among them, step out in front of the group in alleys such as Constancia and the Salto del Mono, while the city fills with altars and seasonal decorations. It is the night version of the Guanajuato tradition, with scares and street theater.
