The Experience

Foro Off Spring is a small-capacity venue, designed for a close experience between actor and audience. Here, Hamlet is not watched from the distance of a large hall: it is lived just a few meters from the performer. Every word, every pause and every gesture lands directly, in an intimate atmosphere that turns the show into an up-close theatrical encounter.

About the Play

This version of Hamlet condenses the conflict of the Prince of Denmark into an independent theater staging, built around the word, the actor's body, and the moral tension of one of the most important characters in universal dramatic literature. Based on Shakespeare's tragedy, it recovers the great themes of the original play: betrayal, revenge, doubt, power, death, madness, and the impossibility of acting when conscience becomes a prison. The production is part of the work of the Laboratorio de Teatro Libertad and Jorge Prado Zavala, in a stage version that has circulated through various theater spaces in Mexico City.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get to Foro Off Spring by public transport?
The venue is at Av. Francisco Pimentel 14, San Rafael neighborhood, a few minutes' walk from Metro San Cosme (Line 2). It's also accessible from Metro Revolución and via routes crossing Circuito Interior and Insurgentes.
Can I enter once the show has started?
In small-capacity venues, entry after the play has begun is usually restricted to avoid interrupting the performance. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early and confirming the policy with the venue.
Is the play suitable for teenagers and children?
Hamlet deals with adult themes such as betrayal, revenge, madness and death, inherent to Shakespeare's tragedy, so it is usually enjoyed more by teen and adult audiences. It is not a children's play.
Is there parking nearby?
The San Rafael neighborhood has street parking and some nearby lots, though availability varies. Given its proximity to Metro San Cosme, many attendees prefer to arrive by public transport.
