The Experience
One of the most awaited gatherings of the Day of the Dead season in Mexico City: a large open-air route through the Explanada de Universum, in Ciudad Universitaria, where creativity, research, history and popular culture meet. It is open to the general public: you do not need to belong to UNAM to walk it.
About the Festival
The UNAM Megaofrenda reaches its 29th edition with the Explanada de Universum as its stage: an open-air route in southern Ciudad Universitaria, in the area shared by Universum (the science museum), the Sala Nezahualcóyotl and the MUAC, next to the Pedregal de San Ángel ecological reserve. On October 31, November 1 and November 2, the university community reinterprets Day of the Dead with offerings and altars, cartonería, catrinas, art and cultural activities for the whole family, in an edition devoted to 475 years of university history. Arrive on Metro Universidad (Line 3) and move around campus on the Pumabus.

No. The Megaofrenda is open to everyone: you can walk it even if you do not study or work at UNAM.
