Ride the Cyclone the Musical · A cult musical about coming back to life.
Cult musical: after a roller coaster accident, a group of young people is stranded in a surreal limbo where they will compete for a chance to come back to life.
Teatro Xola (Julio Prieto) is at Avenida Xola #809, Del Valle neighbourhood, Benito Juárez borough, a short distance from Xola metro station (Line 2) and from Universidad and Miguel Ángel de Quevedo avenues. It has 501 seats with good sightlines, and the season is short: four performances, one each Tuesday, at 8:30 pm. If you drive, the Del Valle area usually has public car parks along the avenue itself.
The roller coaster of an amusement park derails and a group of young people is trapped in a surreal limbo, between life and death. There, in an impossible contest, each of them has to tell their story to earn a chance to return. Ride the Cyclone the Musical takes that starting point and turns it into a cult musical: dark humour, memorable songs and stage craft that mixes the macabre with the endearing. The Mexico City season plays on Tuesdays 6, 13, 20 and 27 October 2026 at 8:30 pm at Teatro Xola (Julio Prieto), in the Del Valle neighbourhood, directed by Joel Abad with a cast of seven performers. Tickets are sold on Ticketmaster; this listing does not publish amounts, check availability and price there.
