A staged narration of Coahuila legends and corridos
Staged narration by Colectivo Sombra Nómada at the Restaurante-Bar Dos Lunas, in the Historic Center of Saltillo. The program brings together emblematic legends of the city —'El Diablo del Tex Mex', 'El Profanador de Tumbas' and 'La Sinventura'— and corridos from the Coahuila songbook such as 'Agustín Jaime' and 'Rosita Alvírez'. It is an annual staging mounted every anniversary of Saltillo, resting between editions.
It is a bar show: tables, low light and actors telling what the city prefers not to tell at night. 'El Diablo del Tex Mex', 'El Profanador de Tumbas' and 'La Sinventura' are threaded together with corridos such as 'Agustín Jaime' and 'Rosita Alvírez', so the evening moves from the chill to the tune. It is staged once a year, on Saltillo's anniversary.
Colectivo Sombra Nómada brings to the bar Dos Lunas the stories told about Saltillo: three legends of the city and corridos from the Coahuila songbook in a single night. It is an annual staging, mounted around the city's anniversary, so it is worth keeping an eye on the date of each edition.
